Andicuri Beach

The plan this morning was to get up and go to Baby Beach early, but the girls were being awful to each other and so we said No Baby Beach today, which Sophie was upset about and Paige said "I don't want to go to Baby Beach anyway" so I also said "fine, no Pizza Hut either!"  The Pizza Hut up the street has a huge indoor play area that we had said 'maybe' we can go to with no real intention of going at all. Now Paige was also appropriately upset.

So we packed up and instead of heading down to the southern most point to Baby Beach we went back to a Andicuri beach to play in the waves and spite the girls. We pass the Kyo Rock Formation so decided to stop for a quick walk around.

The girls ran ahead and Sophie got scared by a goat who ran into her path.

The beach is off the beaten path, the one we visited on the atv tour the other day. So every 30 minutes or so 30 people would show up for 5 or 10 minutes and then leave again. Lots of people have us in their photos, lucky them!

Trying to coax the girls into the waves.

Decided playing without them might be more fun. Lol.

The girls preferred climbing and playing in the sand.

We came home after the beach, had quick showers/swims and then headed to a salad place for lunch. It had good reviews on Trip Advisor but was in the hotel area. It was busy and packed for a little cafe and they messed up our order so Jay was super happy by the time he sat down (not really). The girls went into a little touristy shop and wanted to buy guitars so I told them if they wanted them we would get them tomorrow but it wasn't something they needed to impulse buy.  Gram gave them $20 each so that's what they want to spend it on.

We told the girls we would take them now to Pizza Hut, order a cheese pizza for them for dinner and take it to go and while we waited they could go in the play area. I offered to drop Jay and Trev home and then come back out and do that and the quick trip to the grocery store we need to make but Jay declined (I don't think Trev knew the offer was on the table) so all of us sat in Pizza Hut while waiting for the pizza and watching the girls.

Now back to the grocery store for tequila and some other essentials. We ended up getting a pizza for us to take home too so are having salad and pizza for dinner.

Back at the house we're sipping sours - well I am, the boys are napping and the girls and I just played frisbee in the pool. Sophie, who was playing against me, said "I have an advantage, I can swim". "I can swim!"  Seriously.  We had lots of visitors today at the pool.

At one point on the patio I jiggled the ice in my glass and Jay said  "every time a bell rings and angel gets its wings". Lol, no it's just me a) mix up any melted ice (which is limited because the yeti cups are awesome) and b) assessing how much sour I have left in my glass.

The girls came out and I said "Hey twinsies, you're actually wearing the same thing - let me get a picture".

Well that was fun, we were trying to get them to smile the same. Im pretty sure that ended with me saying "just go".

Trev then perked up and announced "I need to sit up and do some serious drinking". I finished 4. Jay finished 4 and worked out and had a nap. Trev turned to Jay "But where have you been the last 4 days when we drank 2L of tequila?"
"Hey - I pull the bell curve WAY up on that one" and Jay said "that's like saying when your costar won an academy award that you did too".  And Trev exclaimed - "yeah, look how well we did!"  We did do pretty well Trev.

Jay and Trev went in to make the salad and get the pizza ready. They did a really good job on the salad, I just said to Trev "was there any discussion at all about warming up the pizza vs having it cold?"  No, no discussion at all, that probably would have been better in hindsight.

I took the cap off the salad dressing but then decided not to dress the whole salad because I didn't think we would eat it all. Jay came out and showed Trev the cap and said "this is a squeeze cap, you don't have to take it off. Trev said "that was all her". No it wasn't. "Yes it was". Jay said if he was going to believe anyone it was me because I can handle my liquor as he walked into the house and Trev was saying "Jeez, I don't remember taking it off..". No, you didn't, it was totally me.

The flood lights came on and Trev said "it must be bedtime". It's 6:53.  A little while later he said "Wow, it's well past bedtime". No. "No?  I've never seen it dark like this". It's 7:10. And there's still light in the sky.

After dinner I made dessert (Pina coladas) and Paige yelled from inside "Mama!"  Yes. "I need a refill". No can do, it's all tainted now (meaning the pitcher now has rum in it). "Ugh. I need a refill - and afterbite on my butt". It's almost like we DID bring Maria. Haha.

Finally I announced now that it's 8:02pm I think it's actual bedtime. "I think so" which is the reply Trev has been waiting to give since 6:53pm, and also because I said it with the pirate face and when Pirate Steve arrives (which is a thing for the Middleton women even though one of us is a Dufton and the other is a Ballinger) it's time for bed..or maybe too late.
