Centrotre...Bellissimo!

I wanted to go and get Italian for dinner tonight and asked the concierge where he would recommend. They recommended Centrotre (103), which is just down the street from our hotel, Tigerlily, which is at 125 George St.  So we scratched Jamie's Italian when we were able to get in. 

Dinner was so amazing...I had a house special - pasta with spicy sausage and mushrooms with fresh basil and cream - but it was dessert that I will try to replicate at home. 

Fresh, homemade vanilla gelato, decaf espresso to pour over it and chocolate liqueur to sip with a tiny shortbread biscuit...Bellissimo!  I told the waitress I would hunt her down at 4am if it wasn't decaf, she laughed so hard she covered her mouth with her order pad and promised it would be decaf. I'll blog at 4 o'clock if it was high test!  Mom and Lindsay...you would love love love this. 

Jay ordered a chocolate torte and I said "don't you want a glass of milk?"  "no, I'm ok"  the waitress looked at me and I mouthed "glass of milk" and Jay said "actually I'll have a glass of milk". :)

Dad, you'll like this - she then said "do you want it in a glass or in a bowl to pour?"  Seriously?  We thought only my Dad did that!  When we got the bill it said - 1 kids organic milk. Hahaha.
