We got up this morning and, per usual, headed to the beach. Jim was just saying this morning that he's seen Jay drink more this trip and the whole time he's known him - that's thanks to Anthony who brings a 6 pack out to the ocean at 10am.
We went to Playa Grande today, I was feeling a little restless like we've been to this area a lot and haven't been to any new beaches or areas in the last few years. Its about a 30 minute drive to the beach area and we wanted to have lunch and stop at a few shops to see if we could get some rash guards for the girls in this surfing village.
Outside the first surf shop were tonnes of monkeys up in the trees.
Playa Grande, for us, wasn't anything to write home about - it was so hot and there is no shade there at all. We had lunch at pretty much the only place open. It was good but it was HOT.
After lunch we walked the path to the beach.
Where there was NO shade! So the girls went for a quick swim to cool off then we made them get out so we could go home to the pool.
No afternoon pictures of the pool, but at one point I made Trev a drink and he was sipping it in a floater and Mom came over and saw Trev and said “He stole my cup, he stole my floatie and he stole my fucking room” (he’s in the room they were in last year).
This is the worst I’ve ever been with not finishing a blog. It’s March. I can’t remember the context of the rest of my notes but they were funny to me at the time!
Nachos. So good. 7:15 (is bed time? Or this was Anthony saying its the time I’ll kick him out), it’s 6;16 now I have time for another beer.
Don Julio in tequila sours. That would be like putting Ron Xacapa in Pina coladas, like why would you do that?!
Don Julio, that asshole.
Ankle swollen in the pool. It’s the humidity (Mom). Humidity in the pool is over 100%. (Someone other than Mom)
7:00. Thank god. I’m out.
Can’t find the books. Under the bed.
Maria reading to the girls. I stayed up just in case I had to read.
