Dinner deserves its own post

Let me just say that we SHARED a dinner meant for 1 and we were STUFFED!

Again, the fact that I can't put the photos in order or label them drives me mental.

(as an aside, if you ask my Girls..."what does whining do to Mommy?" they'll respond..."drives her mental")

Photo 4 is the restaurant about half way back up that hill we spoke about earlier. Important note is that I really wanted to go to this restaurant tomorrow because we walked by today and it smelled fantastic, but we decided to just do bread, cheese and salami tomorrow and another couple up at the terrace said they ate here for lunch, so we skipped the one the receptionist recommended and went here for dinner. The photo I took of the name was from earlier in the day because I wanted to remember it for later.

Photo 7 is the menu of what we shared.

Photo 1 was a mixed plate of meats, bruscetta, liver pate with tomato sauce on bread (keep in mind, everything you see on Mom's plate was mirrored on mine and we shared).

Photo 5 was called a bean soup, but was like a paste, but not gross. 'Cause it sounds gross, but it was yummy.

Photo 2 was a pasta with tomato sauce and wild boar...Erin, exciting enough for you? Wild boar can kill you!

Photo 9 was a stewed meat in a delicious sauce. We don't know what meat it was and it was still delicious but it just read "Tuscan Meat". That might normally give me pause, but here it's all good.

We had 2 500 mL bottles of wine too. (and almost a bottle on the terrace before dinner).

And finally dessert, which said Rice Tart...this is the way a dessert with rice in it should taste...like it doesn't have rice in it. Unlike rice pudding, which has rice in it and is disgusting.

You will note we didn't enjoy it at all...as evidenced by the teeny tiny piece of cookie that Mom couldn't finish because she was TOO full.

Day 6 - Tour of a local Island

I set my alarm for 8am today because Jay and I have booked a tour to a local island by speed boat and it leaves around 10am.  I wake up ever...
