Mags came down a few minutes later looking a little gray. She felt slightly better after some toast and we made our way to the beach. But after the windy, bumpy roads she had a setback and had to spend most of this morning under a tree laying on the beach. I said "You know what happens after 7:20? One too many drinks happens after 7:20!" Maggie agreed, she shouldn't have tried to keep up with Jay she kept saying although I think that Jay's size and Maggie's tolerance put them on a level playing field off the bat!
Even at lunchtime Maggie's first drink was a mango smoothie...Jay said "What you have to realize is that this is a marathon and not a sprint". Maggie said "I run marathons!" Lunch at Tiki's again, the boys choice since it was their last day and Maria wanted to try the coconut shrimp which are yummy.
Smiley enjoyed Tiki's again as well.
Tiki's has a breeze, shade, a wicked pina colada and a playground for the kids to play in when they aren't at the table.
The owner came over, she's Canadian, she said they also have another restaurant in Potrero/Flamingo area right on the ocean, so we looked for it on our way back to the house. Turns out is the Garbage Restaurant...there is one restaurant that every time we go past it it smells like garbage and there is a huge pile of garbage beside it - we definitely will not be trying that one.
I forgot from the other day to add the photo of the cows on the road on the way home from the beach, so here it is, but out of order.

Maggie had a pina colada with lunch and we thought maybe she was coming around, but when we got to the house she disappeared for a nap, came down and ate her leftover lunch and then disappeared again. She finally came down and said "I figure if I go to bed in another 4 hours then I should get up now!"
Jay came out to sit in the shade, which is only behind the post.
We bbqed chicken and had a salad for dinner tonight. We're down to a little less than half a bottle of tequila, but tomorrow we plan on going to Tamarindo and do some shopping and hit the nice, big supermarket while we are there. Tonight Trevors squeezed the last 8 limes - we will miss him when he's gone. Mags says she can be the squeezer from here on out.
I think that Sarah is going to meet us in Tamarindo as well, we'll try to coordinate with her - she's in Playa Grande which is really close to Tamarindo.
After dinner I went to bed, my nose started getting itchy and my eyes scratchy. I'd avoided taking the cold and sinus medication I brought with me all day, but it was now time. The rest of the group decided to play a game of spoons while I went up to read my book - - Maria will continue with the blog because she sent me a bunch of notes on it, but its probably better from someone who was there to live it:

When I heard they were playing spoons I thought it was a drinking card game and wondered how they were handling that with the girls. Maggie jumped in to explain that any card game could be a drinking game but we will just stick to grabbing the spoons for this one. Trevor, Maggie and all three girls started playing after Jay helped Trevor explain the rules. Jay was helping out until they all got the hang of it and I was just observing while playing on my iPad. It was definitely entertaining. Paige finally said after fidgeting for a bit "OK we need to stop, I have to pee", when she returned Trevor asked "did you wash your hands?" Paige said yes and then Trevor piped in again "with soap? I'm not sure I believe you but lets just go with it". A few minutes later it was Maggie's turn and when she returned she stated "I washed my hands with soap but apparently I'm the only one who flushes the toilet"
They continue to play but Trevor is getting a little excited and competitive (he hasn't won a hand yet) and Jay reminds him that he's playing with a 6 year old and two 7 year olds but I'm not sure it's sinking in. Maggie's response time is a little slow (she's finally into the sours) and she's at minus five. Jay, Paige and Sophie go up to bed and I agree to play one game. Three games later Trevor finally wins one and yells "SPOONS"raises his hands and says "YES that's the first time I got a win".
Meanwhile, I refilled our sours and realized that we were running very low and Dana is not going to be too happy.... some anxiety might start kicking in since we've had almost 2 pitchers going at any given time since the boys arrived.
Bed time...8:30, another late night!
