We're coordinating today with Sarah to meet her at the beach and for lunch at Flamingo and then she and Jackson and Ellie are coming to our place for the night to do an ATV tour with us in the morning.
We got to the beach around 11am this morning, got ready to head to the water and Sophie hadn't put her goggles in the bag. She looked like this for the rest of the morning:
The rest of us enjoyed the water, the sand and the sun until lunch time.
We figured it would be easiest for Sarah to meet us at Coco Loco's in case she missed the beach part (she's not known for her promptness) so we went down the beach to the restaurant and set up shop in the shade. It was VERY VERY hot.
We ordered the house specialty drink, the Coco Loco which has rum and tequila and coconut water in it and is served in a coconut. The first one was delicious, the second one was sweet and thick and strong and did not agree with me in combination of the heat and the stomach issue I was having. I went to the washroom and Paige said "didn't you just go to the washroom?" Yes, I did Paige, thank you for pointing that out. Maggie had three drinks so that we would have a coconut for each of the kids to serve them drinks later in the pool, which they never touched so they spent the afternoon in the sink and then got thrown in the garbage - oh well. Maggie enjoyed the drinks!
Did I mention how HOT it was?? So we left the restaurant and I was sick at the side of the road before we left for the house. The hot and sweet combo did not rest easy on me. I felt a hundred times better though and gave Maggie a thumbs up (she was in Sarah's car) that we were good to go.
We got back to the house and I didn't go in the pool, I enjoyed the cool air conditioning and read my book inside for a bit after having a shower and taking another Imodium.
Maggie bbqed chicken (yes Maggie!) and Maria made salad, but I skipped out before dinner and went to bed..I heard there was a good game of Crazy Eights that I missed...too bad. lol.
