Day 5
It rained all night. We were woken up by a thunder storm around 1am. I could hear Myah was upset, she doesn't like thunder, and she was in Sophie's bottom bunk with her. So I sat with her until the thunder ended and then went back to bed. Sophie must have found it crowded because then she came into our bed. Jay must have found it crowded because he went off to Myah's original bed! Then Jay found that uncomfortable so moved Sophie out to the pull out and came back to bed.
We didn't get up until a little after 9:30 and when it stopped raining we prepped to leave for Sauble Beach. Really all we had to do was unhook the motorhome and pull in the sides. About 10 mins total including emptying the holding tanks again and we were off. Goodbye camp site.
It's about an hour and 10 mins drive from Tobermory to Sauble. We saw a dune with a parking area as we were pulling into Sauble so I called Jay and said we should come back here tomorrow with the skim boards and see if they'll skate down the dune.
We are outside of Sauble about 12 minutes, actually closer to Southampton. After we arrived, hooked up and put the sides out (about 5 mins) and turned around to go out for lunch. Sophie, once again, was hangry. I wanted to try a cafe called Armen's, it smelled SO good, but there were only about 6 tables and they were all full. So I consulted Trip Advisor again and then we walked down the street to Walker House. It was a pub and it was delicious. I had an arugula salad with blackened shrimp on it. Jay had a California salad with blackened chicken and a chipotle chicken sandwich. I also did my half cider half beer shandy with a local brew.
When we were done Myah asked "where are we going now?"
We're going back to the camp and you guys can explore on the bikes. "Third level of hell" Jay said under his breath "But there's grass. The only thing you didn't like about the last place was no grass" lol "are ya' sure?"
The girls explored and then had leftover pizza and pasta for dinner. Jay and I had cheese and crackers (we ate lunch around 2:30pm).
Not much happened today. Lol
