A critter ate our bread!

I woke up again at 6am to Sophie whispering to me "Mummy, can I have french toast?"  WTF.  Seriously I'm going to make it clear that waking me up is on penalty of death going forward.  "Is Maria making it?"  "Well, a racoon ate our bread so Maria said to ask you if I can still have it"  If Maria would eat the bread then you can have the bread.  Now go away.  Then I thought, we'll its already 6am, I should get up anyway.  Maria had cleaned up the mess made by the critter that ate our bread, I doubt it was a racoon, it could have been a rat or mouse, but there was no evidence of any type of animal at all, so we have no idea.

At 7:45am, as Maria and I were getting ready to do our workout, Jay went to have his first vacation nap.  It was HOT this morning working out, but we did a full 48 mins with 6 mins of abs at the end.

Dad arrived as we were in the pool after the workout.  He rarely comes over without Mom, he said that she was cranky today - so I guess he was trying to be scarce!  He has a key to the gate, so can let himself out whenever he wants.

After the dip in the pool to cool down we got ready to go down to the beach, we went to our usual spot today, sent a message to the Corey's that we'd be down there if they wanted to meet us but we missed them.  

We're usually only at the beach for 60 - 90 mins before we pack up and head out to lunch.  Jay and Trev had some fun in the waves with the boogie boards today too!  

We left the beach around 11:30am to walk back up to the house, take a dip in the pool and get ready for lunch - Mom and Dad came to our place at 12:30pm and we went out.

We went to Vaca Loka, near the Super Massai.  Mom and Dad have been there before and said it was good.  The pizza was amazing, I had shrimp and rice which was like a paella and really delicious.  Jay and Maria had proscuitto and mozzerella sandwiches that were HUGE and Dad had a salad with pineapple chicken on it.  Rarely does everyones food come out at the same time here, so you just eat it while its hot.

After lunch we made our daily trip to the grocery store, picked up limes and other non-essentials.

Back at home we're in the pool with a drink in hand and all enjoy the spectacle that is Maria trying to get on the floaty today - its not an easy feat, but it is entertaining for anyone who is not trying to mount it.

I had a dream last night that Jay said that he thought I was an alcoholic.  I said "I don't think that I'm an alcoholic." Really?  What's the difference between you and an alcoholic? "I don't drink on Tuesdays? Well, unless I'm on vacation...".

The Corey's came over in the afternoon for a drink and swim and some cheer in the pool.  Anthony was going to make himself a vodka and soda but I asked him if he likes tequila "I love tequila, its my favourite memory loss inducing drink".  So he had a sour instead. lol.

The girls offered Uncle Trevor an Oreo cookie and then all lurked around him suspiciously while he ate it, I forgot to include in the blog yesterday about the pranks they did when we got home.  Anyway, his Oreo filling had been replaced with toothpaste!  The other pranks they did included drawing spiders on the toilet paper - they caught me with that one in the outdoor bathroom by the pool, I pulled on the paper, saw the spider, screamed and tossed the paper away from me before I realized what they had done!

We went to dinner to Perla's, which got a total facelift in the last year.  The Corey's took Jay and Trev in their car and we got the 8 of us in Mom and Dad's car again (which is a small Mitsubishi, not a Hyundai as I was corrected yesterday).  There are 14 of us, so we went early, around 6:30pm which is late for us - the kids were all done, long day in the sun.  We had a very good dinner, Mom and I ended up sharing ribs because they didn't have enough racks for all of us, but it was enough food for sure - we also all ordered it with fries but they all came with half a baked potato instead and some veggies.

We tried getting separate bills, but it came as one LOOOONG bill so Jay just paid and we'll figure it out later.

Back to the house and to bed, I think its just after 8pm.  I read 4 chapters of a Thea Stilton book to the girls in their bed and then the girls asked for water, before I got back with the water 2 mins later 2 of the 3 were asleep.
