Lazy Day - Day 3

I woke up a little blurry this morning still. I couldn’t remember if I had changed into my pajamas or not, but I had. 

I came down this morning and Paige said “Mom did I scare you last night?”  When? “Last night.” When last night? (Because Sophie scares me coming out of the bathroom in the afternoon). “When I hid under your pillow”. Oh yeah, I forgot about that!  Like I forgot if I got undressed or not. 

Maria and I both conveniently didn’t mention the gym this morning. My shins and calves are sore from the walk up the hill yesterday. So I got changed and came down to the beach while Maria was doing some training modules for work and Jay was reading on the patio. 

The girls came down and Maddy said “Dana, have you made a friend?”  Oscar the Iguana 🦎 was sitting next to me. The girls named him because he lives in the sewer. 

In the water with Sarah she all of the sudden was looking down with a little panic and swimming in circles. She was like “is something around me?!”  Just your shadow. Haha!  It freaked her out, but the way the sand was swirling as she kicked it up and the way her shadow followed her she felt like something was moving around her. 

After a time by the beach and some fun in the waves I moved up to the pool and got my floatie, book and my morning sour-beer. LOTS of ice and sipped it over an hour probably. 

The girls had the boogie boards out for the beach but brought them over to the pool and were floating. 

Sarah, Anthony and Maddy snuggled on the loungers at the beach. 

Mark, must be the property manager, came over and asked us how we liked the resort, if this was our first time in CR. Then got down to it - there are no floatation devices allowed in the pool. “Even these two? (I pointed to our floaties) with adults floating in them?”  He said yes, that the Home Owners Association doesn’t allow floatation devices of any kind. I told him that’s too bad because we have been enjoying our stay here and may consider renting a unit again but that a big part of our vacations (and by now he knew we have been here 5 years in a row) is floating in the pool in the afternoon, and that’s a deal breaker for us.  He said for now he would take the boogie boards back to the hut and then “they will see us taking those back” and for now to just continue to use our floaties and he would take that feedback back to the Owners because there has to be balance between the Owners who don’t rent and those who do rent. I know Mike owns 5 units with a group of people so I’m sure that they want to keep the renters happy. Plus, the last 2 days we have literally been the only people in the pool!

The gang decided to go to Coco’s for lunch. I always find it too hot there, somehow even though it’s right beside the resort, essentially, there is no breeze. Also I think it just makes me remember when I was so sick there from the heat. So I heated up the last of the leftovers, spaghetti from La Forketta, while they went to the restaurant. I floated and read my book for about an hour before they all came back. Looking hot. Lol 

Maria sent me a few notes when they were at lunch about things said at lunch, but I don’t blog about what I wasn’t there to hear!  So I told Maria  she can come in and write about lunch :)

She’s feeling lazy, so I’m just inserting her text - you’ll get the gist. 

The girls all went into the Corey’s for a break from the sun for about an hour, Jay went and had a nap and Maria joined me at the pool then the beach. 

Maddy has pink zinc so all the girls have it on their faces today. 

As we were sitting at the beach there was a little girl with a saggy swimsuit and Sarah commented on it - it was too big for her and wasn’t tight at all around the bum and thighs. I told a story about being in Dubai and a lady I was sitting with one day by the pool had the same problem and I got a look at her bat wings. Sarah almost lost her shit. Lol. The expression I just heard, and I can’t remember where but I think it was at a recent girls night with my high school friends. 

Anthony and I stayed down at the beach until sunset, when I went back up to the condo Maria had dinner all ready - soft tacos today. The girls each had 7!   Maria said she had never seen them eat so much, a day in the sun and water will do that, and they do love their soft tacos!

Over to the Corey’s after for 5 Crowns and I got this string of texts from Maria this morning (because my phone was dead).  Earlier in the day we had been fighting over who gets to sit beside Jim at 5 Crowns tonight, lol. 

I’ll try to do my best with the notes. 

Last night when we were playing 5 Crowns Sophie popped her head out onto the patio and said “Jim, it’s been 20 minutes, it’s time to go pee!”  I think someone said he wasn’t going to pee he was going to masturbate in the bathroom and Maria made a comment and action “like oh yeah, spit in your hand and shshsh”. And Anthony said “oh, is that a sprinkler?”  Not knowing it was Maria. Haha. And when Jim cane back Sarah said to him “Jim, you’ve got some on your ear”

Sarah went out and jammed Maria with a bunch of points and Maria told Sarah she was a ho...Sarah replied “Yup, watch me flap!”  She also made some pretty hilarious comments about Alien the movie in relation to the bat wings. Haha!
