And then there were 12...

FLA - Day 3

I woke up this morning around 7am and had a shower, came downstairs and found the Conrod’s all packed to go.  Trev too.  He decided to go home after all.  I can’t say that any of us are surprised that he left but we are surprised that he left all the same.  You 100% can’t blame anyone for leaving or staying, its all in where you’re comfortable.  We wish them a safe trip home and will pick it up a year from now maybe.  Lea said she’s not sure if she can get her money back on the tickets they bought for Disney or if she can just get credit for a future date - if its a future date we will definitely be back.

I read an article today and shared the info with them before leaving, the actual things you should have on hand during this time (not toilet paper and nothing stock piled) are Advil, Tylenol, a cough syrup with an expectorant and a suppressant, clear fluids and soups and frozen fruits and vegetables.

We spent a bit of the morning just chilling out at the house and then the girls all decided to go to Target.

Sophie got a super cute bathing suit when we were at Target the other day.  Paige wasn’t a super huge fan of it, but today Myah and Ellie decided to get the same swim suit and now Paige wants it so they all matchy match, which Sophie isn’t happy about.  “Paige is just doing it to bug me!”  “Paige is doing it so she doesn’t feel left out, its not a big deal, if she doesn’t like it when we get home we’ll give it to Claira or Bella”.   Mom, take a picture of me with the Minnie ears! “

“Your sister is getting the swim suit”.

“You can get something else if you find it to keep it even”.

We found Coconut Cream!  Yesterday when we thought we had coconut cream it ended up being just coconut milk again - so today we have Pina Coladas!

The girls decided to try some stunting in the pool.

Then Sarah decided it would be a good idea for her as well!

Ellie has a tendency to fold in half. Lol.

We sent Jay and Steve out to get more Ron Zacapa (originally we had said we would just go out and buy a cheap rum to make the pina coladas, but then I made a pitcher with the Ron and we decided it was worth paying for the good stuff), pineapple juice and ice (because we ran the ice maker dry).  But while they were gone we got thirsty.  I got out of the pool and said to Juls and Sarah “I think I need to hydrate...anyone want a White Claw?”  “Yes” “Yes please, I need to hydrate too”.  Once we switched to the White Claw we didn’t switch back to Pina coladas so Jay and Steve actually didn’t have to go make a trip to Walmart, but now we have it available for tomorrow!  Steve said at the cash Jay was trying to enter his pin code first with the corner of his credit card, then tried with his finger inside his shirt before finally just using his finger to enter it.

The girls asked if we could go to the water park and Steve said that he would take them.  He and Jay got up to go and probably 90 minutes later Steve came back with Emily, because she was getting toasty, and said he left Ava there with the girls.  I asked where Jay was, if he came back as well, and Steve said “Jay didn’t go”.  Jay had gone up for nap #2.

We plan to go to Downtown Disney, Disney Springs, tonight for dinner and let the girls get a little taste of Disney since we decided not to do any of the parks this year.  It’s 6pm, so we look up a restaurant, call for reservations and they can do 10:15pm or they’ll guarantee a seat and just let you know when you walk up how long it will be, estimating the wait to be about 20 minutes.  So we decide to go and figure there are lots of restaurants there if that one doesn’t work out.  Disney Springs is about 15 minutes from where we are, we take 2 cars over and park in “Watermelon” by the big Cirque du Soleil tent

Paige took some photos as we walked through.

I probably didn’t need those last two photos. Lol

This is the restaurant that we were trying to get into but there is a line up, so we back tracked to one called Paradiso 37 that had $5 margaritas.  Turns out the Happy Hour special was just for the bar and to go but Jay asked the server and she said she would do the $5 for us.  I got a corona on the side and somehow ended up having 2 drinks and the beer delivered. It was very syrupy so I was thankful to have the Corona to cut it.  It’s funny, when I ordered the Corona the server snickered and said “Corona, you sure?”.

After dinner I walked the girls down to the Disney Store while everyone paid their bills.  I did the head count, the girls were doing piggy backs, about 45 second later I did the head count again and I was missing Ellie.  “Did you guys see where Ellie went?”  Avery said “I think she walked back to the restaurant”.  Well we need to know that for SURE, lets walk back!  So we walked back and I said “Does anyone see Ellie?”  Avery said “She’s right there at the door with the candies but I don’t think any of the parents know she’s there”.  I walked in and told Ellie “You can’t do that, you can’t just walk away and not tell anyone where you went Ellie”.  She apologized and later I asked her “Were you feeling excluded, is that why you left?” “No, I just didn’t want to go to the Disney Store, I already went there with my Mom and didn’t want anything”. “Ok, well you scared me, don’t do that again ok?”  I’m glad she wasn’t feeling excluded, and I think she’s forgiven me for getting upset with her, but F Me.  Jay said later he said to Steve “That was Dana’s angry face”.

So Jay and Kobe should never go anywhere together, I wasn’t there but...Kobe said “Jay, if you buy me this T-Shirt I’ll wear it for the rest of the vacation (everytime we go out)”.  I think it was purchased before Kobe even had time to react and Kobe just took his shirt off in the middle of the biggest Disney Store I’ve ever seen and switched into his new ‘vacation shirt’.

We walked back along the boardwalk to the car, not through the shopping area. Sarah had told Ellie she could go into Candy Cauldron on the way back so they separated from us and said they would meet us in the parking lot.

The girls eyes look black, like their sisterly souls, because of red eye correction.  Lol.

We got to the car and I got a text from Sarah.

I called her and got it sorted out.  We got home and I went to bed, the rest stayed up and watched an episode of Love is Blind.
