Physical Distancing Day 32 - (Day 46)

Friday May 1 - Today is Kobe’s 18th birthday!  So I sent him a Happy Birthday text when I woke up this morning.
Then I went down to do my workout with Sophie - the girls had the day off yesterday for their birthday so Sophie was up today.

Her workout got cut off 7 or 8 minutes in so she had to start over, she did pretty well in 25 mins!

We had Kevin Taylor come out and do a quote for us for our back patio and a fire pit.

The back patio will be big slabs of the lighter one on the right with the darker one as a border.

Doug Ford opened up some jobs to start working again, including landscaping companies.

We went to my moms for our daily afternoon walk and when we got back Crock a Doodle had dropped off a gift for Sophie and Paige from Ellie Acorn!

And later Lori dropped off the sweatshirts that I ordered for Jay, Trev and I.  I can’t wait to have a bonfire in the new fire pit and wear matchy matchy sweaters. Lol.

Covid hair, don’t care.

Drop off number 3 today!  I did a Pampered Chef party on Facebook and Christina, the consultant, is donating 75% of her commission, $360 to Cam’s Kids - I didn’t take any of the hostess gifts or do any prizes for the party - just people ordered and she donated.  Awesome and easy.

We went to the Faust’s for dinner tonight for Kobe’s birthday,  I brought the pizza sausage from The Meat Merchant in town on his recommendation and he was not wrong - sounds weird, tastes delicious.  Goes well with Slabtown Cider Sweet Maple Heat.

Steve BBQ’ed burgers, his new bbq gives the meat a nice flavour, its an egg style ceramic bbq that is charcoal heat so its a little smoky flavour but not too smoky.

Julia made a cake - she didn’t want evidence of it so I don’t have a photo. Lol.  Looked horrible, tasted just like a McCain Deep and Delicious chocolate cake (which I love!).  It had chocolate pudding and cool-whip in between 4 layers (2 cake pans cut in half) and then a chocolate icing on the top.

Avery did an amazing video for Kobe, which is where I got the idea for the girls, and she organized for his friends to drive by to wish him a happy birthday as well.

After dinner we played 2 rounds of Karma and then played an online game called Jack Box.    During cards Kobe said he had a really great birthday.  For Jack Box Julia put her computer screen up on the TV and then we all hooked up through the website with a party code, this is kinda cool because we can play sometime when Trev can ZOOM with us and he is playing from home where we play from here or Faust’s. We played 3 different games, one kinda like Balderdash and then one like Pictionary but people have to guess what your picture was out of choices..it was a lot of fun!

We brought the Faust girls home again - the girls all slept in the basement which is awesome for them because they’re downstairs and at the other side of the house and awesome for us because they’re downstairs and at the other side of the house.  We can’t hear a thing.  I have no idea when, and don’t care, when they went to sleep.

Today’s numbers:

There was a 5 in-patient outbreak announced at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital today.
