Physical Distancing - Day 33 (Day 47)

47 days since we got back from Florida and started our initial 14 day isolation and 33 days after that since physical distancing and shelter in place orders were recommended.

Got up this morning, Saturday, stayed in bed for about 45 mins creeping on Facebook, sent this to my Mom.

Also in a video I watched where the Mayor acknowledged the press release last night from the Cottage Hospital of the outbreak there he mentioned that Scugog had lifted their burn ban and he hopes we can lift it in Uxbridge for next weekend.

Mom and Dad kinda have a weird situation with their house, their address and phone number are Uxbridge but they pay property taxes to Scugog, that’s why I asked if they’re Scugog for the burn ban.

Finally got down to it just before 9am, after asking Mom and Carrie if we can do our walk at 10:30am today instead of 10am because I have to have a shower after workout today.

Jay sent me a text saying that we’ll go over to my parents to help Dad split wood from 2-3:30pm and I replied that Dad usually has his nap around 2 so we should probably go earlier.  I guess my Dad also said something to him about the nap so we plan to go around 1pm this afternoon.

Done, accountability selfie - also did 16 criss cross jumping jacks, its a challenge for the month.

At 10:30am I took the dogs out to Mom and Dad’s for a walk.  I texted earlier to say I wouldn’t be bringing the kids today just the dogs because Avery and Myah slept over (and as far as I know they were still sleeping but also there is no need to bring them over to my parents).  We did our two laps of the property and then I headed home.

Jay went for a road bike ride today with Trev and Blair, who came up from the city, they rode up near Keswick to Jackson’s point.  Jay said he had a really great ride today and didn’t feel that he was falling behind (Blair is a beast on a bike and Trev is a really strong rider too).  When I got back they were sitting outside, spread apart, in the Muskoka chairs having a beer so I got to chat with Blair a little bit and say Hi to Trev in person, which we haven’t really done too much since he left the Island to be with Patricia.

We went back out to my parents to split wood  - Dad rolled big tree cuts (about 18” high and 24” in diameter) into the bucket of the skidsteer and then brought it over to the splitter.  Matthew split the wood into big chunks which Carrie and I moved into a pile over near Jay where he was splitting it into smaller pieces with the axe.  We were done all the wood in about 45 minutes - Dad was super happy at how quickly it all went!  He didn’t want the wood stacked today, so once Jay was finished with the splitting we were done.  Jack, meanwhile, was also splitting wood into kindling.  He’s really enjoyed cutting wood the last few weeks, he’s done it a lot while we’ve been there for walks.

We got home a little after 2pm, I went to Meat Merchant to get some more sausages and pasta salad for dinner tonight and then stopped at Zehrs to get some Fever-tree Ginger Beer and potato wedges which I’ll warm up later either on the BBQ or in the oven depending on if its raining.

I also dropped off a couple of the Pampered Chef bags today but have to drop Katy, Sarah and Nicole theirs tomorrow.

I ordered some more cider from Slabtown Cider today, they do same day delivery so I got them to deliver.  I’ll get it tonight between 6-7pm.  I got 8 bottles this time, we drank two bottles last night, the Sweet Maple Heat (which is sweet but I didn’t feel any heat) and the Black Current.  The Cherry is my favourite, this time I also got the regular dry one that they make as well as the ones I just mentioned.

I also cleaned out and vacuumed all our kitchen drawers today - how do they get dirty?  You take clean dishes out and you put clean dishes in, I don’t understand.  But there was all kinds of debris in them.

Found another couple of funny memes on Facebook.

BBQ, the sausage were REALLY good on Steve’s egg BBQ, they weren’t as good last night.  I think they’re the same batch so I think it was just the flavour from Steve’s charcoal grill.  I did’t like the pineapple curry sausages, they didn’t have much flavour and the texture was weird, like it wasn’t cooked but it was.

This chart below is truth.

We played Super Tock, Julia and I beat Steve and Jay 2-1 so we are currently 16-12 in our 2020 series.

Sophie snuggled with Willow on our floor before bed.
