Physical Distancing - Day 46 (Day 60)

This morning is grey, dark and sleepinable.  I didn’t sleep in, but I didn’t get up and do my workout either.  I stayed in bed until about 8:45am and then got up and went and logged in for my webinar at 9-12:30pm.  Half way through the webinar I ordered some AirPods, with all the webinars I’ve been doing and the future zoom calls I want something reliable and comfortable.  I tried out Jay’s today and they weren’t comfortable at all, they’re JML I think.

Yesterday Ford announced that as of today a bunch of businesses could open.  Pet grooming, anything with a curbside (so no malls basically), golf courses, all construction.  Basically no ‘touching’ industries like massage, hair, esthetics.  Strict protocols are going to be in place, but I think I’ll stick to the status quo for the most part.  Amazon is my friend.  Some things haven’t changed yet, the gatherings are still 5 or less, so we’re still breaking the rules every time we see the Faust’s or go for a walk up at Mom’s house.  Hopefully that will move to 10 soon so we can be on the right side of the law again.

Paige just got these clear bins from Amazon today with her $25 gift card from the Faust’s that she got at Easter.  Sophie used hers for new bands for her Apple Watch.

Faust’s are coming for dinner tonight so I’m trying a dessert recipe that I saw on Facebook which is cookie on the bottom, a Reese peanut butter cup in the middle and brownie on top.  You’re supposed to serve it warm with a little ice cream, I think we have ice cream in the freezer, some vanilla.  (I got Jay to stop at Kawartha and pick up some more chocolate peanut butter icecream - the dessert was good but really sweet)

We’re having flank steak and sausage for dinner and Juls is bringing 4 cheese tortellini as a side.  I don’t think I’ll even bother with a salad, I’ll just put out a veggie tray or guacamole and chips and call it a day - meat and carbs, you can’t get much better on a rainy day.

At 3:45pm I have to run through a house with Cindy in case there are some showings.  She wants to go to the cottage for the weekend but has a new listing coming out.  So she sent me the details sheet and we went through the house together so that I’ve been there and have an idea of where everything is and what it all looks like.  Its past clients of mine, they co-signed for their son’s mortgage, so I’ve been there before.  This is where Cindy is going to value me, in her being able to spend more time up at the cottage so that she doesn’t have to do showing appointments on her own listings on the weekends.

Because of COVID and the restrictions, we have to wear gloves, masks and booties over our socks.  I didn’t actually touch anything when I was in the house and wouldn’t likely have to touch anything if I did a showing either.  I appreciated her taking me through the house though, just easier to have been through it rather than just have seen the photos.  At that point I didn’t have the details sheet yet which lists when the roof was done, how old the furnace is, etc - which is handy for when someone comes through so she emailed that to me.

I only have 7 gloves and my reusable mask, so I ordered 2 boxes of masks that I can pick up Tuesday from a supplier Matthew uses for work and picked up a box of gloves from Pharmasave in town.  Cindy leant me some masks in case I need them over the weekend and gave me a roll of booties which I’ll also see if I can pick up Tuesday from Hill.

When I got home I saw this bottle opener in the garage, a little swag from Slabtown Cider Co.  We’ve ordered enough cider that’s for sure!  I have no idea where it came from or when it arrived.

We played SuperTock after dinner, we were 2-2 for the night so played a final game to break the tie and Juls and I won which puts us back up 3 in the series.

I didn’t take a photo of the numbers today, I do know the Uxbridge ones didn’t change, but the World ones I don’t have.
