Physical Distancing - Day 47 (Day 61)

Saturday morning of the May 2-4 weekend.  Jay met up with Blair and Trev and did a 100km road bike this morning, they left around 8am so should be home by noon.

I asked Sophie, around 11:00am, what she wanted for breakfast and she said dippy eggs, hash browns and toast so I made a full breakfast. But first I made a mimosa.  I used a can of Outset sparkling white because its the perfect single serving size.

Jay arrived back as I was cooking and so I asked Trev if he would like to stay for breakfast and we could eat outside, 6’ apart.  So he stayed for breakfast and we ate on the front porch.

Jay went yesterday and got a fire permit front he town to have a fire today, we have bunch of brunch to burn still.

And all this wood too!  This is all wood that was trees taken down on the property to build the house, we took 5 or 6 trees down, mostly big old Manitoba Maples.  Its going to be a LONG time before we’re through that wood but we’ll move some to stack near the new fire pit when its done.

Jim and Maria came for a 45 minute visit by the fire which was nice, they left when she had to pee.  Trev came back around 6pm, we were done by the fire but I started the BBQ and he stayed for burgers.  Its a pain in the buttski though because I made Jay make up Trev’s plate, burger, salad, etc and take it outside to him and we sat outside and ate again .  He stayed until maybe 7:30pm.  Jay got WAY too much sun today when he was on his ride and then doing things outside around the house.  It was nice out today, 19 degrees and not too cloudy so we were outside a lot of the day.

When we came in I cut Jay’s hair (even though I had had a beer and a bottle of cider), we had a mishap with the clippers, for some reason the guard didn’t work right by his hairline on the left side - thank GOD it was right in that spot because its right at the hairline AND is on the same side as his part so you can’t tell at all, but it could have been a disaster military style haircut.
