Most of the memes today are all in the same theme, so I’ll keep them all together:
I forgot the other night that Julia gave me a Grad picture of Kobe. He’s so facially gifted.
Last night after Sophie’s shower I braided her hair into two French braids, it looks really pretty when she takes it out - this is pretty much how my hair curls when its long, or did when I was younger and it was long.
Sophie asked it if while Paige was still in bed she could use her phone, which she lost yesterday, I said No because she lost it and asked if she wanted to play cards.
About half an hour later, into our second game, Paige came storming out of her room “Sophie! You told me to wait in my room and you would get your phone from Mom!” A lot of drama ensued between them which ended in a game of cards with the three of us as Jay finished up making pancakes. We then played another game of WTF with the 4 of us but it got a little out of hand. I need to watch a video to see what the rules are on that game! Ok, I looked it up, we were playing wrong - but I don’t think the right way makes the game any better. Lol.
After cards I went to the grocery store to pick up some stuff for dinner tonight. We’re going to the Faust’s for Lasagna and I am bringing apps and Caesar salad but I’m just going to bring Renee’s salad dressing instead of making mine from scratch for tonight. Because of the snow I figured I can make some ‘winter’ apps and so decided I would bring bacon wrapped pickles with chipotle mango dip (which I already have made from the other night when we had burrito bowls) and these pretzel pizzas which is a pretzel with cheese on it then a piece of pepperoni (I added some pizza sauce) and then it goes in the oven until the pepperoni crisps up.
As I was getting ready to leave to go to the grocery store I saw that my neighbour had asked if anyone was heading in to the store and could grab a few things for them so I texted her and asked what she wanted. 3 zucchini, a bag of onions and a bag of Miss Vicki’s Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar Chips (because she and Sarah have a craving but that’s a want and not a need so if I’m not going down that aisle anyway don’t worry about it). When we got back we dropped off her items onto her porch and I texted her to let her know they were there.
The girls are colouring in pictures of baby Disney characters, I’m not sure why but they’re getting along (despite the look on Paige’s face right now) so I don’t really care why.
Note Snow White’s eye patch above, that’s because Sophie went to colour her eyes brown but the brown was almost so dark to be black and the best way to cover it up was to give her an eye patch. Haha.
We plan to go over to the Faust’s for 6pm, its 4:20pm now. I’m going to ask Jay to make a fire and sit and read my book. The girls asked if they could watch Snow White - did you know that Snow White came out in 1937?! I had no idea, but I warned them that it was old an that the animation wasn’t great. They watched about half before they started fighting and I took it away.
We were a little late going to the Faust’s, I know the stupid pickles take more time than they say online, which is 10-15 minutes so I gave them 30 minutes in the oven but it was more like 45mins before the bacon was crispy. They were delicious though, I didn’t take a photo and the pretzel pizza bites were amazing, they’ll definitely be a snacky app edition to my repertoire.

We had lasagna, garlic bread with cheese and Caesar salad for dinner and Myah made a delicious brownie base with cheesecake top dessert with caramel sauce on top.
Julia and I did not fair so well tonight at Super Tock, we lost 3 of 4 games bringing the stats to 18-16 in our favour. It could have been the cider and the dark and stormies but the boys were supremely lucky last night in getting the right cards to get right into their homes last night when they needed to whereas Juls and I circled the board SEVERAL times.
We talked about what happens when the government says we can add another family to our bubble. Do we add Trev? No, because he’s still seeing Patricia and she still has kids that see their Dad. I suggested to them that they add someone and we won’t - so they can add the Chants or someone for Kobe or Avery to hang out with because the girls have Myah. When it comes to that we’ll discuss it again but we’re ok with them adding someone to the bubble to make their kids happy and us maintaining the status quo.
