I don’t have any webinars today and the girls are all done their school work! I have no idea what I did all day except go up to Moms for a walk with Carrie and the dogs around the property - 23 acres, easy to keep 6’ apart, oh and I went to the dump afterwards to dump the old dog pool which had a hole in the bottom and then picked up Myah at about 3:15pm on the way back home.
I did do some work yesterday as well for a client putting an offer in on a house this week, so things are still happening in the market. This is a mortgage client, not a real estate client, I haven’t done any real estate work yet - but my For Sale signs are available for pick up in Aurora!
When I got home I realized that I wanted to make Rotel so ran back into Zehrs and got Velveeta and a few other things (drumsticks for dessert). We are celebrating cinco de mayo today instead of yesterday because yesterday I had that call. Faust’s will be over around 6pm and Juls is bringing her three layer dip, I made rotel and guacomole and for dinner we had tacos, chicken carnitas for a burrito bowl, refried beans, Mexican rice and all the fixin’s.
Got this message from Trev, Patricia must be over, then we had the following exchange.
We haven’t seen Trev since he left “the island” to go see Patricia. We have a bubble the Faust’s and Us and its gotten smaller as time goes on, first losing the Acorns because Jeff came back and then Trev. The distancing measures are still in place now until May 19th for the next review - its been nice that we have another family in our bubble to socialize with, especially for the kids but for Jay and I too. We get together 2-3 times a week for dinner and games and its a nice distraction from being isolated.
Slabtown did a tequila barrel aged cider, that’s the Ciderita. Juls and I went from Cideritas to Orange Margaritas cut with Ciderita after dinner while we played Karma. We decided after the first margarita that we shouldn’t play Super Tock because Julia kept calling it Tick Tock or Table Tock but Steve wanted to play double or nothing Super Tock and hoped we were into the sauce enough to agree! We weren’t.
Juls had her last day today going into work because Kobe starts a summer job with Taylorscape doing landscaping. Butternut is still the only long term care facility in Uxbridge with no cases.
Doug Ford announced today that a number of new businesses will be able to open again - retails spaces with curbside pick up, hardware stores with physical distancing, garden centres and more.
Went to bed, today’s numbers (I don’t even check these anymore other than to post it here for posterity).
