Physical Distancing - Day 53 (Day 67)

I woke up at 8am this morning but didn’t feel like working out so I skipped it.  I plan to go for a walk with Carrie at 2pm with the dogs but I also have to pick up dog food this morning so we’ll see how I do today on the workout front.

When I woke up I got this cute text from Sarah.

I had a 10:30am training webinar this morning for Re/Max about a new system they’re launching so I made a coffee but it was too hot and I didn’t want to wait for it to cool down so I got Paige to grab me an ice cube.  I’m almost out of Bailey’s so I need to go to the LCBO next week, I totally forgot to get the Bailey’s when I went last week.  I make the coffee in my Keurig with a reusable pod and I make it on the Strong setting, so adding an ice cube isn’t a big deal from a flavour perspective but it means I don’t have to wait to drink it.

Using my favourite Gabriella Kaufman pottery mugs.

I got an email that the Qualifying Rate is dropping as of Monday from Scotiabank then saw another Agent in my team had posted this little marketing meme so I copied it and posted it to FB as well.  Lower QR means that you qualify for a higher mortgage, .10% isn’t a big deal but it will be slightly helpful.

The girls and I had grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch today.  I really like the new T-Fal pan that I bought at Canadian Tire online, it was on sale for only $21.99 I think and its great for eggs, bacon and grilled cheese.

I saw this on the MI Facebook page as well so copied it and posted it.  I like the message, which I have seen a lot, and the colours.

This afternoon Julia ended up coming over just after 1:30pm and we went down to pick up the dog food together, so looks like a workout is out for me today.

As we were leaving Lisa, from Foraged, dropped off my winning bouquet.  I entered a raffle for the bouquet on the Uxbridge Helping Hands facebook page.

We joked later that maybe she thinks that we are lesbians because Juls and I were leaving together in the car, but as we were leaving Jay was pulling up in his car and he said “so then who would I be?”  I said “The pool boy, but you’re not even eye candy because you’re a guy”. And we don’t have a pool too.

When we came back the girls were running through the sprinkler, actually I think that they had it running under the trampoline or onto the trampoline. Juls and I opened a cider and went and sat in the back yard in the sun, its so beautiful out today, I foresee being burnt again.

We BBQed burgers and sausages and as we were just finishing up cooking Trev and Patricia rode up on their bikes which was a nice surprise.  They didn’t stay long, just long enough for a beverage and then rode their bikes back to Trev’s house.  We’re having 10am coffee up at our place with everyone tomorrow so we’ll see them again - bring a lawn chair is the only requirement.

After dinner we played SuperTock even though Juls and I had drunk 3 bottles of cider by then and had a dark and stormy with Patricia...the boys won 3 of 5 games so are up another one in the series, I think that puts them 4 or 5 ahead of us now.  But they won the FIRST 3 games of 5 so that was a little scary!

Myah stayed the night, the girls were chatting until past when I went to sleep but they were quieting so I’m not sure what time they actually went to sleep sleep - we’ll see what time they wake up in the morning tomorrow!

Today’s numbers, Uxbridge is up by another one case:

The US numbers day by day are going up, 24,000+ today.

Day 6 - Tour of a local Island

I set my alarm for 8am today because Jay and I have booked a tour to a local island by speed boat and it leaves around 10am.  I wake up ever...
