Physical Distancing - Day 38 (Day 52)

I scrolled through Facebook, like I do every morning before I get out of bed and came across this information about school resuming in Quebec.  I don’t know if its accurate but if it is then holy crap.

I have an alarm on my phone to go off at 8:45am and remind me to try to get donuts!  Crave Donuts is located in Whitby and they have started selling the donuts online every day at 9:00am and they literally sell out in minutes.  On Tuesday I had my order in my cart but didn’t check out fast enough and it sold out - so this time I got a dozen and checked out super fast with Shopify and got it!

Our little window garden is really starting to sprout now - its supposed to SNOW this weekend, May 9/10 and its cold and dreary today so we can’t plant them outside until the weather turns to actual springtime weather!

The ones below are the peppers, they’ve taken a long time to sprout.

I procrastinated A LOT this morning, even taking pictures of the plants before going downstairs, but I finally did a 33 min aerobics for beginners (low impact but high cardio) workout on You Tube, I think its Pop Sugar Workouts?  There are a bunch of options anyway and this one appealed to me because I didn’t want to do weights or the bands workouts today.

This popped up in my Facebook memories today - Maggie shared a photo with a group of us on text too..can’t wait to be able to get together with everyone again.

After workout today I had a shower and then went to Zehrs to pick up my grocery order, I totally forgot that I had one today so once again we have a stocked fridge!   The last couple of trips that I’ve made to Zehrs have been uneventful, no line up and not too many people in the store.  I think I’ll still keep up with the PC Express for my main shopping though and only go for the one offs into the store.

I went from there to pick up a plant that one of the kids from the girls school had potted.  Ty created these little succulents and did a great job - supporting his side hustle.

When I got home I had a bunch of work to do, a client put an offer in on a house last night that was accepted so I had to do her mortgage stuff.  A bit of a complicated situation because of COVID but we have temporarily added her Dad to the mortgage until she gets a new teaching contract for September.  Normally the bank would use the average income for the last 2 years of being an LTO teacher but now because she doesn’t have a contract in September yet they’ll only forecast her income to the end of the school year, her current contract, which is $34,000 instead of $55,000 so she and her boyfriend don’t qualify anymore.  Once she has a Sept contract I can use her full income - the closing isn’t until July so there’s lots of time for her to secure a contract and remove the co-signer but in the event she doesn’t get a contract and goes back to supply the co-signer will have to stay on.

The girls went outside to play in the rain - it’s FREEZING outside and RAINING..crazy girls - they came back in and showed me their dance and sang “singing in the rain” a little wrong and I asked if they wanted to know how the song actually went and Sophie and Paige said “Its a real song?!”  They must have known its a real song because the tune was right just some of the words were wrong.

Checked today’s numbers and Uxbridge is up - 36 today.

My Aunt Jo-Anne texted me to find out when I’m going to pick up the garlic sausage, its Monday.  She wants to meet me somewhere to drop off my Dad’s cigars since I’ll be about 40 minutes from them.  Both map apps say to go the same way so I sent her my route.  Almost 3 hours, now I need to find out a creative way to use the bathroom enroute because I think all the bathrooms are closed.

I saw this cool potato garden so texted it to Jay - we’re going to make it tomorrow.  I posted on Facebook asking if anyone has the lumber and there is a sawmill just outside of Uxbridge that will give us the lumber scraps.

Found this - this is a follow up to the Murder Hornets, haha.

Jay had a scotch zoom call with Dwayne, Trev, Adam, Blair and Shane tonight.  It was nice for him to be able to have a chat with the Boys, I could hear him laughing and chatting from our room.

I did a lot of reading my book tonight, finished one off - I had set a goal to read 60 books this year on GoodReads, I bet I’ve almost met that already.  I’m at 42.
