Got up at 7:30am this morning and did my workout. Carrie started a little early and did arms, legs and core so Maria and I did the same.
I decided to do a Pampered Chef party and not accept any ‘hostess gifts’ and the consultant said that she would donate 75% of her commission to Cam’s Kids as well. So that launched today on Facebook.
Cam’s kids is a local organization that promotes Youth Mental Health. With the pandemic as it is a lot of people have heightened anxiety. We’re lucky, the girls anxiety is so focussed on medical, loud noises, the dark (as in going to a movie or show where it gets dark) and crowds that they are 150% ok with being stuck at home for 31+ days and as long as this lasts. Plus they get to see Myah and Avery so they’re not socially isolated and we both have property for the girls to be active outside.
I went to Newmarket today and picked up 7 isolation gowns that were done for Butternut staff and went to the Loblaws there, there was no line up and hardly anyone in the store - I think they were all lined up waiting to get into Costco! That was nuts. I just wanted flank steak but couldn’t get it. I used the hand sanitizer on the way in and the way out and also once everything was in the car and the cart was put away I used the wipes I had brought with me to clean my hands again and the steering wheel, ignition, door handle, seatbelt buckle and gear shift.
I went to the LCBO in Newmarket too because I had looked online to see if I could get White Claw shipped to home but its only in store, only in Cherry, Lime and Mango (yuck), and Newmarket had 1300+ items. I asked Juls if she wanted any and she did too so I got 2 cases of Cherry and the last case of Lime they had.
Now the beer fridge is stocked for nicer weather! It snowed like 85 times today. Snow, stop, Snow, stop, Snow a lot, stop. Ridiculous.
Paige had some more of her project to do today so here are some of her photos.
Ah, Snow - neige. This was one of the 85 times it snowed today, this wasn’t a lot.
She’s also fake sleeping.
And apparently a picture of a zebra is good enough because she couldn’t think of anything else that started with Z.
She’s examining Sophie there...I said you know that starts with “e” right?
“Close enough, X is a hard one” and Sophie said “And I wouldn’t let her use my Xylophone”.
The girls created masks with elastics and folded fabric. Too bad I won’t let them go anywhere, they’re safe at home and at Faust’s. Actually I would let them come with me but its only supposed to be as few people out as possible so one member of a family unless its absolutely necessary to go with more, like your kids are young and you don’t have another caregiver at home.
To make room for the White Claw we had to kick out a few unwanted guests. They’re going to stay at the Acorns for the remainder of their days, which may be numbered.
Numbers for today. Uxbridge went up to 12. Still super low.
