Physical Distancing - Day 2 (Day 16)

Because we aren’t sure we’ll see the Faust’s for a while we took Myah overnight.  Juls and Ava go in to work today and we’ll play that situation by ear.  For now, Myah is here and we’ll see how long she wants to stay, as long as she does she’s welcome :)

Well now I know why I’m at “J” in my client database...I skipped somehow half of “C and D, E and F!” So now I’m back to “Ch.” and making my way through the ones that I missed the other day.  I’m using Mortgage Intelligence’s BOSS system with a list of my contacts which were merged from my Filogix application system when MI developed BOSS.  The Filogix system has more information in it so I switch between those two systems on my MacBook and then input on my iPad (I have a case that has a keyboard which has been AMAZING), its like having a mini laptop.

I didn’t get very far with that today - I did a few clients and then went outside with Jay and the girls and raked leaves and hauled branches back up to the back of the property to dump, we made 4 runs I think, the girls were really helpful.

I got back in and I had missed the webinar at 12:00pm.  Crap.  But I decided to watch 3 other that were pre recorded through Mortgage Professionals Canada from the major Lenders and Insurers to get the scoop on what’s going on from the Lenders perspectives.

This is how we succeed at having us both work from home, we have the worlds longest table as both of our desks, and Jay usually goes into the bedroom for his lengthy calls with clients or his team.

This afternoon Jay built some raised garden beds for us to have a garden this summer while I went to Greenbank to pick up Sushi for dinner at Greenbank Restaurant. It was so good and out of all the local restaurants that I’ve been wanting while we were on our 14 days of isolation this was the ONLY one I couldn’t wait to pick up from when it was done.  Its also the only one our whole family LOVES, everyone loves Greenbank sushi.

8pm wine date with friends was so nice!  We set up a date on HouseParty an app that Sarah recommended.  We had lots of drop in guests, it was a lot of fun.  Sarah’s mother in law, Glenys, somehow saw that we were online and dropped in on our call.  It was so hilarious - we learned a lot of information in a short period of time about her and Al. Haha.  All the boys popped in at one point or another and we decided to do a Friday night fire chat this week.

We’re also meeting Saturday morning at 9:30am for a coffee tailgate at Julia’s house in the meadow to the N of her house.  BYOB.  Bring Your Own Breakfast.  And maybe coffee with a touch of baileys in it!
