Physical Distancing - Day 22 (Day 36)

Tuesday April 21st

I woke up fairly early this morning, before 8am but didn’t get out of bed until after 9.  Carrie and Maria had already done their workouts around 8 so I did mine and finished just after 10am.

Accountability selfie - Carrie, Maria and Julia are texting each other when we finish a workout.

Hopped in the shower, made my smoothie and am ready to homeschool!  Yesterday the homeschooling went much better but it still sucks ass.  Paige did her fraction review and a Public Service Announcement and then we started on her iMovie of making Macarons.  Today Paige is editing her iMovie to submit to her teacher.  Sophie did her PSA yesterday, a question about what you miss most and least about school and that’s it so today she has more to do.

I have a webinar at noon, its 11:30am now.

We’ll drop some clothes off to Anna today, since the girls did an order yesterday they can go through their closets and pull stuff that doesn’t fit them anymore. I texted Carrie to let her know and she said that they are going to go for a walk at Mom’s around 2pm so we’ll take the dogs out there and go as well.

We’re pretty much done for the isolation gowns, the ladies that responded to my plea on Facebook have been amazing and have sewn over 160 gowns in the last 3 weeks.  Reachview called me, after I dropped off approx 20 yesterday, and said they would take as many as we could give them so we will likely end up around 70 gowns for them by the end of day tomorrow.

I listened to my webinar but it wasn’t very exciting so I switched to another one but kept getting interrupted.  That one I did want to watch so I’ll watch it again tomorrow as now I have the recording.  We left just before 2pm to head out to Mom’s for our walk.  Its COLD today!!
Paige got out there in her leggings and winter jacket and was so cold she asked Gram for some pants!  Haha.  And she got a scarf and Sophie got the matching gloves.

We ended up walking the property twice, which is about a 20 minute walk with some uphill, so its a good little workout.

We got home and worked on some homework again, I did some work.

Paige had her zoom therapy appointment with her therapist, Joelle at Kernel of Wisdom.  She sits in her room and has the session so its private, so I’m not sure how it goes!

I was going to have this cookie - its an amazing ginger molasses cookie that one of the sewing ladies made me but I felt like it needed to be a little crispier.  I thought I would throw it in the toaster.  Fail.  It has a lot of butter in it so it kinda melted, I had to tip the toaster upside down to get out the cookie since it kept dissolving in the tongs.  Thankfully last week one of Sophie’s jobs was to empty the crumbs in the toaster so it wasn’t that messy a job!

Last night Jay said he wanted Mexican tonight.  When Steve came over for workout I had no dinner plan, by the time Steve left I had made Huevos Rancheros, vegetarian except for the eggs.

I mix my own spices, cumin seeds, chilli powder, salt, onion powder and some crushed chilli peppers.

Its OFFICIAL!  I’m now a Real Estate Salesperson with Re/Max in Uxbridge.  I’ve joined Cindy’s team.

It was announced on social media today and so I’ve been thanking everyone who has congratulated me, it’s exciting and I’m a little nervous and its not great timing with Coronavirus but it is what it is.

The girls after dinner got back out to painting their sign.

The finished product looks great!  Well, its not quite done, they still have a few little details before we hang it up and I think we need to shellac it since the weather has been so crazy and I’m pretty sure they’re water soluble paints.

When the girls came back inside they went down to play Mario Kart, its about 9:30pm and I think that I’m going to turn in after making some of my refresher so that I have a pitcher for tomorrow.  Its 2 cups of white grape juice and 12 cups of water, bring to a boil and add 5 David’s tea forever nuts, 3 Tazo Passion and 3 Stash Very Berry tea bags then just leave it to steep until its cool.  Often I leave it overnight and remove the tea bags in the morning, which is definitely what I’ll be doing tonight since I’m tired.

I’ll have to decide between Killing Eve and reading my book - the last few nights I’ve read because the other night I wasn’t able to sleep after watching something so late.

In the news today - Georgia opened up the State yesterday for a lot of new services including hair salons, restaurants and retail stores.  A lot of people think its too soon, its not like they were at the end of the COVID spectrum they’re still in the peak.  It will be interesting to see what happens in Florida and Georgia, both Republican States being seen to suck up to Trump.

Numbers for today, the US was down today so that’s good, still over 800,000.  Canada seems to be holding steady around 1600 per day:
