Physical Distancing - Day 18 (Day 32)

Got up this morning and did the workout.  I didn’t take a photo of which one I did.  What day is this? Thursday?  I did Tai Chi for a nice stretch.

Then I watched a video I thought was interesting and so screen spotted these two slides.  The first shows the escalation in cases over the days and how many new cases in Canada are emerging.  The second is a quote that resonated as to where we are in this pandemic, and obviously did with the creator of the video as well - Dr. Andy Thomson.  He has a series of videos that he’s sharing on Facebook and YouTube.  These are from the April 16th video.

The April 13th video was about reinfection and is it possible.  He doesn’t believe that you can be reinfected as after your body is infected with a viral pathogen your body mounts an immune response through their created memory antibodies.  A few people might find it difficult to make antibodies, naturally or because of medications that suppress the immune system.  There are limitations to antibody testing because there are different windows of time when you have different (short term vs long term) antibodies. IgM are new antibodies (recent or current infection) and IgG are memory antibodies for past infection - this was similar to me finding out that I had been recently exposed to Fifths Disease when I was pregnant with the girls because for a small window of time you have both IgM and IgG antibodies and that’s how they knew the exposure timeline was sometime between when I was 6 and 12 weeks pregnant which was the risk period so I had to have bi-weekly ultrasounds when I was pregnant with them to confirm no risks, which was too much amniotic fluid if I remember correctly.

After workout I did some running around picking up gowns and delivered them to Butternut Manor.  We delivered 41 and have another 20 or so to deliver next week when the ladies complete their sewing over the weekend.

I can’t remember what the rest of Thursday brought with it - we had dinner, I was going to cook stir fry but I think we just had leftover lasagna instead.

In the afternoon at 1pm I had another webinar that I wanted to listen to which was 90 minutes long.  During this the girls did their homework.  The thing that I hate most in the world is hearing “I don’t get it” while trying to explain it and it escalates - once I don’t get it comes out more than twice I should learn to just let it go and do something else.  They’re not looking for themselves to find the answers which leads me to believe they’re not very independent learners in class - that they have to be told exactly what to do every time.  So, from now on we will do homework at 11am every day for an hour and we will go through the instructions together so that they know how to find everything and what do to for the day and then they can go on their way.

Turns out this is FRIDAY!!  We had lasagna leftovers yesterday for dinner.  Faust’s came over for dinner tonight for soft tacos - Julia and I got the Super Tock score back up to 8-7 in our favour.  We had soft tacos because I had 8 avocados I needed to use so I made guacamole and because I had a pitcher of orange margaritas in the fridge from before March Break as well!
